Wood pellet stove maintenance

Household heating using renewable energy

It is very important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for operation and maintenance.

All wood pellet stoves will require some regular cleaning - hoover ash pan and brazier - scrape heat exchanger

This generally only takes a couple of minutes a day, but needs to be done to keep them running well.

This is in addition to filling the hopper with pellets, which would normally need to be done not more than once each day.

You should remove unused pellets from the stove hopper and feed system at the end of the winter season to reduce the chance of damage to the stove.

This also minimises any difficulty when lighting the wood pellet stove again next winter.
